THE JELLY SPEAKS!

Bow down to thy green wobbly majesty seated high upon a cup!
Actually its kinda in a cup if you think about it.

Today, jelly blobs of doom came into my dreams and requested that I be their mouthpiece.
So anyway, topic for today is the history of jelly.

First, it starts as seaweed floating aimlessly in the sea, helping to maintain the natural balance of its natural ecosystem.
Then one fine day, some weird person come about and discover how to dry out seaweed essence to make a powdery substance.
So aimless seaweed is taken rudely from its natural habitat, grind into a pulp and set to dry in the sun.
Powder is mixed with water, some nice colours and sugar and boiled together with equally unhappy ''pandan leaf''.
So while pandan leaf and dried out seaweed pulp socialise in boiling water, they soon become fast friends!
Resultant coloured solution is placed into nicely shaped containers, cooled and left to set in the fridge to give rise to the hybrid that arose from this tragic friendship...
JELLO!

To end off, a poetry for the day! A jelly's reflection.

The Apple-Jelly-Fish-Tree

Down in the depths of the sea
Grew the Apple-Jelly-Fish-Tree.
It was named by a queer old robber
And his mates three.

I watched it for a second,
I watched it for a day.
It did not change color
For its colors stay.

It was as red, as yellow, as white, as blue
As gold and stones with the light through!

I watched it long and long
Till a flying sunfish
Swam through its branches.
He had opal wings
And a sapphire tail.

No wonder robbers like to stay
Where fish so shining come to play!
Don't ask me! It was the only poem I could find with the word 'jelly' in it.
